Google cut the Gemini API free tier's rate limits on 2025-12-06. Gemini 2.5 Flash went from 10 requests a minute and 250 a day to 5 and 20, and Gemini 2.5 Pro went to no free requests. Google's rate-limits page stopped listing free-tier limits the same day.
