Pricing Changes: March 30 – April 5, 2026

Three material policy changes: (1) Third-party tool restrictions — external tools like OpenClaw now billed separately on pay-as-you-go, can no longer apply standard usage limits. (2) Extra usage option — all paid plans (Pro, Max 5x, Max 20x) have pay-as-you-go overage at standard API rates. (3) Peak-hour throttling (acknowledged March 31) — 5-hour session limits reduced during weekdays 5 AM–11 AM Pacific.

Cloud & dedicated server prices increasing 30-50%. Entry-level CX23: €2.99→€3.99/mo (+33%). Applies to new and existing customers. Driven by DRAM (+171% YoY) and NVMe SSD cost surges from AI infrastructure demand. Superseded 2026-06-15: Hetzner ran a second adjustment across all cloud and dedicated lines, applying to new orders and rescales only. Read from hetzner.com on 2026-09-03: CX23 is €5.99 and is marked "not available", as is every other shared-vCPU plan, and the cheapest orderable plan is CPX12 at €11.99/mo.

OVHcloud VPS prices increased dramatically April 1, 2026. VPS Starter (VPS-1) from $4.90 to $7.60/mo (+55%), VPS Essential (VPS-2) similarly increased, VPS Comfort (VPS-4) from $26.00 to $43.50/mo (+67%). Root cause: AI-driven DRAM prices up 250-300% and NVMe SSD costs surging. Affects all new and existing VPS customers.

HashiCorp legacy free plan for HCP Terraform ends March 31, 2026. All legacy free plan users auto-migrated to enhanced free tier with different limits: 500 managed resources (previously unlimited for small teams), unlimited users, 1 concurrent run, SSO, and policy as code (Sentinel + OPA)

Google Developer Program annual subscription ending March 30. Replaced by Google AI Pro ($10/mo) and AI Ultra ($100/mo) tiers with bundled cloud credits and AI model access.

Switched from per-seat subscription to pay-as-you-go token-based pricing. Teams can add Codex-only seats billed on token consumption with no rate limits. ChatGPT Business price cut from $25 to $20/month (annual). $100 credit per new Codex team member (up to $500/team, limited time)

Billing-account-level spend caps enforced starting April 1, 2026. When a tier's spend cap is reached, API requests pause until the next billing month. Affects pay-as-you-go developers who may see unexpected request pausing.

OVHcloud Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and Bare Metal prices increased 9-11% for deployments made 2026-2028. Pre-2025 deployments see smaller 2-6% increase depending on equipment age. IPv4 pricing also increased. Driven by same DRAM/NVMe cost surge as VPS increases.

odrive free tier discontinued effective March 31, 2026. Previously free unified cloud storage sync across multiple providers (Google Drive, Dropbox, S3, etc.).

Grandfathered Pro pricing ($15/mo) confirmed indefinite. Credit system fully replaced by daily/weekly quotas for all plans.

Replit Core plan dropped from $25/month to $20/month (now includes 5 collaborators). New Pro plan added at $100/month with Agent modes, tiered credits, and up to 15 builders. Teams plan sunset (auto-migrated to Pro). Free tier unchanged (limited AI credits, basic compute)
