restructured Cursor AI Coding

From October 12, 2026, new subscribers buy Cursor as part of The X Subscription, one plan for Grok, Cursor and X: Free $0, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 a month, with one weekly usage pool shared with Grok that covers Cursor's own models. Third-party models such as Claude, GPT and Gemini are not included in any plan: on Premium and above they cost the model's API list price, paid from prepaid credit, and Free and Plus cannot use them. Hobby, Pro ($20), Pro+ ($60), Ultra and the Teams Standard and Premium seats continue for existing subscribers until they switch. Source ↗

deprecated OpenAI Codex AI Coding

ChatGPT and Codex keep running. Only the GPT-5.5 model retires from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex on all plans on 2026-10-14: OpenAI names GPT-6 Sol as the replacement on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans and GPT-6 Luna on Free and Go plans. The OpenAI API is not affected. Source ↗

deprecated NVIDIA NIM AI / ML

NVIDIA's free API endpoints keep running. NVIDIA retired Kimi K3 (moonshotai/kimi-k3) from its free endpoints on build.nvidia.com on October 15, 2026; its model page says it is no longer supported after 10/15/2026. Source ↗

Effective date unknown (1)

1 change recorded during October 12–18, 2026 has no known effective date. It is dated the day we recorded it, not the day its terms took effect, so it is not counted as a change that took effect during October 12–18, 2026. Where archived copies of the vendor's page bracket a change, it is dated by the first copy that shows the new terms.
