2. Key Differences

Beyond the raw numbers, these structural differences matter for your hosting choice.

Pricing Model: Usage-Based vs. Credit-Based

Vercel uses per-resource usage limits (100 GB bandwidth, 1M invocations, etc.) — each metric tracked independently. Netlify uses a unified credit pool (300 credits/month) shared across deploys, bandwidth, and compute. Vercel is more predictable; Netlify's credits can be confusing but offer flexibility.

Framework Support: Next.js-Native vs. Framework-Agnostic

Vercel is built by the Next.js team — you get the deepest integration, fastest builds, and latest features first. Netlify supports any framework equally well (Astro, SvelteKit, Nuxt, Remix, Hugo, 11ty) and doesn't favor any specific framework. Choose Vercel for Next.js, Netlify for everything else.
